We signed loan documents last night and construction will begin on Sept 15th, 2008. So, while we going over documentation with broker, many of the members were packing up the kitchen area, clearing out closets, and so forth to get ready for contractors to come in and start.
First item one the agenda, before anything else, is to clear the building of asbestos. It's in the tile and acoustic ceiling of our facility and removal with AQMD permit approval will take at least 2 weeks to complete. It's been a lot of work for us but the membership is really excited about this endeavor. We're going to come together on this Saturday to throw away and move more items. It was our goal to be out and contractors come in on this coming Monday. But funds won't be available for at least week so we have another week to finish. All is still on schedule to be complete by the end of November.
WOW! The picture is making me excited about our project, which is moving, not as fast as I would like, but it is going in the time frame of the almighty God. Thank you Clinton for your prayers concerning my son, I will never forget that. God be praised!
